About the Role
Outdoor Environments Group is seeking a seasoned Senior Landscape Designer & Estimator to join our team in Murray. In this pivotal role, you will lead the sales and design process, ensuring every project is visually stunning, structurally sound, and accurately priced for the unique Utah landscape. You’ll be the bridge between a client’s vision and a flawless installation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Expert Design: Create buildable, high-end landscape plans including complex hardscapes (pavers, natural stone, retaining walls), water features, and outdoor lighting tailored to the Salt Lake Valley climate.
  • Precision Estimating: Leverage deep industry knowledge to calculate exact material counts, labor hours, and equipment needs to maintain healthy project margins.
  • Sales & Consultation: Act as the primary point of contact for high-budget residential and commercial clients, using your expertise to build trust and close contracts.
  • Site Analysis: Conduct thorough on-site evaluations to identify topographical challenges, drainage issues, and soil conditions specific to the Wasatch Front.
  • Production Support: Translate designs into clear, actionable instructions for installation crews, serving as a technical resource to ensure the vision is executed perfectly.

Required Experience & Skills
  • The "4-5+ Year" Rule: Minimum of 4–5 years of direct experience in professional landscape design and estimating.
  • Utah Horticulture Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Zone 6/7 plants, water-wise "Localscapes" principles, and technical requirements for hardscapes that survive Utah’s shifting soils.
  • Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., LMN, Aspire, Dynascape, or PRO Landscape).
  • Logistics: Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record are required for frequent site visits.

Compensation & Perks
  • Salary: $60,000 per year (DOE)
  • Performance Incentives: Opportunity for performance-based bonuses.
  • Growth: Join a leading firm with a reputation for high-end craft in the Murray area.

Compensation: $60,000.00 per year
